Interview with JC Halsey of Team Fresh.

So what exactly is Team Fresh?

Team fresh was a created by myself and best Friend Skaggs $(RIP) about 5 yrs ago we were just two teenagers who loved to snowboard and thought it would be cool to start a team of other snowboarders, mainly consisting of friends and kids we met on the hill who shared the same passion.

How did you come up with the name?

As lame as it sounds we came up with it because we are a team of riders who love fresh snow. So we put 2 in 2 together and it seemed to fit us well so it stuck and people seem to like it.

Who's on the team?

Myself, Paige Parker, Eric Sparks, DP, Hawk, Adam Hoppe, Lloyd Garden, Zach Miller, Kylee Halsey, Jessica Meyen, Taylor Martin, Freddy Duncan and Ry Sheffler.

What’s the worst injury you have seen on your team?

The Worst injury was probably last year march 2007. We were filming are team video in Jackson Hole, Wyoming and Team Fresh Rider Hawk was doing a backside 180 of this handmade ramp. He lost it in the air and landing really hard he ended up breaking both wrists, his left leg, broke 4 ribs, and had a concussion. We were miles away from anyone or anything so we had to send someone to call 911 to get him airlifted to the nearest hospital. It took him almost a year and a half to completely start snowboarding again.

Favorite place to chill out?

When not snowboarding, mainly hanging at my house.  It’s so fun it’s completely tricked out has a big screen so we play a lot of madden and halo. We all love golf so it can get really competitive. We always watch the newest snowboarding movies together to get us to push ourselves to film and perform as well as the pros do MDP's Double Decade is the best snowboard film probably ever.

Pow or Park?

I guess we all have different opinions on that. When we first started out it was mostly park to get tricks down and to learn new stuff on jibs and in the pipe. But the last couple years it’s turned to a lot of backcountry Pow to film and push each other to do stuff we wouldn’t do in park.

If you are a god what would you do to the world?

Stop Global Warming.

Do you install toilet paper so that you pull from the top or the bottom of the roll?

Deff the top it’s more practical (ha-ha).

What’s your perfect subway sandwich?

Anything on the five dollar foot long list. It’s cheap and good.

Who is cooler, Indiana Jones or Darth Vader, why?

Indiana Jones, Anybody who can stand in a pit of snakes and not pass out is cool in my book.

If you could make out with anyone, who would it be?

Sophia Bush from One Tree Hill...Maybe powzilla can hook that up!
